How to install Minecraft Fabric mods
- Open the Minecraft launcher and start the version of Minecraft that you're going to install mods for at least once.
- Go on the official FabricMC website: https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/
- Download and run the FabricMC installer. Choose the Minecraft version that you're interested in. This should create a new "fabric" profile in your Minecraft Launcher.
- Start Minecraft with the "fabric" profile at least once.
- Download a file of the mod that you would like to install. Make sure it matches your Minecraft version and it is made for Fabric. Your browser might say that the file can be harmful but don't worry, all my Minecraft mods are safe to download. Browsers are just being cautious with all .jar files.
- Go in the "C:/Users/YOUR USER/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/mods" folder or to an equivalent on other OS'. On Windows you can open the "AppData" folder by pressing the windows key + R (or open the "Run" application through search) and typing in: %appdata%
- Find your way into the "mods" folder as described in the previous step.
- Put the mod .jar file you've just downloaded into the "mods" folder. You can now install any mods compatible with your Fabric version by putting them in this folder.
- Download the Fabric API for your Minecraft version from CurseForge and put it in the mods folder.
- Start the Minecraft Launcher and start the game using the "fabric" profile.
- If you are still having problems getting the mods to work, feel free to contact me. Contact info is available in the sidebar.
